I have a NN hen who is 5 months old. She laid her first egg, her mother also a NN laid at 5 months too. Her egg is the small one at the top. She laid it on the floor. Her dad was an EE.

Hi, I have my first NN hen. She is about four months old. Do all NN hens lay green or blue eggs? I don't know much about my NN yet, except she is very sweet.

My first pet chicken, Lucy was a NN and she laid pinkish brown XL eggs. She'd lay about 250 eggs a year. i always kept plenty of feed available and she was free range on about 1/3 acre lot. She loved finding slugs, snails, earthworms and getting mealworm treats. I rescued her from a teacher who was dumping her off at the local shelter. There was so much whining and barking heard all the way into the parking lot. I was horrified for that poor thing!

As a wee one in1958, we lived on a chicken farm and a few ganged up on me, and wouldn't stop pecking me. I was hysterical crying and yelling for my mom. To this day i can see her grabbing chickens and wringing necks; four to be exact! It left an impression and I had no problem eating the guilty ones that week with triumph!

But my Little Lu, since the day I rescued her, truly never knew I could love a bird as much as I did her! She was an incredibly sweet soul .💕 🐥🤗

I do hope to find another NN soon
