Who is Ron?

This is dad...aka RON

Beloved by many, especially family and friends and many on this site appreciate his sharp mind and...tongue. The tongue might be just be a bit too sharp on occasion but that's a family trait. I wouldn't change anything about him.

Last week a possum killed my big naked neck rooster. He lives on though in his babies.

So here is Leroy Jr. and Peaches.

R.I.P Leroy

I got this little surprise in a batch of eggs I bought. He's an olive - Marans, Turken, Ameraucana cross. Out of all my EE eggs, he's the only one that has a pea comb. Just turned a week old today. Really a cute guy but I have a feeling he's a cockerel. Keeping my fingers crossed that I'm wrong so I can see some pretty olive eggs coming from this one.

I have one black NN that has black feet, is that something that she will pass on to her chicks?? The other one has grey feet but she is my only black pullet right now with black feet. I have one brown hen with black skin on her head, and neck and black feet. The other one has grey feet and the under neath of her feet is silver. Will the black pass on??

What a precious little baby! If it's a little cockerel you can always use him in your breeding program.
