Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Roaches that's it ? the Cats would love it, and our little Bug dog an Mini Pin eats all kinds of bugs creepy crawly things jumps to try and catch them. I'll keep reading to make sure I did not skip something

Yes dubia are a South American tropical roach, easy to raise, easy to confine, little chance of escape, and even if they did are completely unable to live in my area.

I watched a couple vids about these. Great protein source! If I had only a few birds I would certainly get into this!

Dubias are feeder insects I raise for the chickens.

Dubias are excellent for chickens. I keep them in my reptile room, where it's 80 degrees and 60% humidity year round, and they go crazy. Using something like 70 quart tubs with screen tops, filled with cardboard eggcrate. Best part is their feed is free. I use the powder left in the bottom of my rat chow bags, and am able to raise a few thousand roaches per month for my feeder customers and my chickens. Just tossed a few in the pen one night to see what happened, and they went nuts for them so they've become a staple treat. Now if I can just find some local mealworms to start some of those up. Raising a few bugs is very easy and cheap, and the birds really seem to enjoy them.
