Well come Saturday my Flock of Naked Necks will be gone.  There is no market here for them so they gotta go.

I will be keeping 2 hens though, they really crossed well with my EE's and made some nice sized ones for me.

They have Ameraucana in their past. Not for a few generations, but I still choose the ones who have pea combs to keep, and sell the single combed girls (and eat the boys).

For the few who think NN's aren't cold hardy, my girls are proving VERY much so! -24F with wind chill, and still laying strong.

Thanks, I was doing that for me also, but I still have to sell a chick or two to help with the feed bills. I have other projects on my plate for now so these are the ones I'm letting go. Maybe later I will get me some more.

I going with projects for now. My crested EE's and some crosses with my EE's.
I just now have a rooster that is getting old wnough for breeding, I'm putting him in with 7 Red Sex Link hens. By the way he is a NN/EE cross, he is a Blue-Tailed Red (Think RIR, but with the EE shape, and blue in place of the black), he does have some blue on his lower wing feather. If I should be able to get any daughters from him I plan on putting them under him when old enough.

I'm still needing some Polish (prefer Golden Laced) for fixing the type and crested for my Crested EE's. I have about 10-12 9 weeks olds (1/2 EE and 1/2 Polish) so it shouldn't be too long before I'll need a Polish rooster.

I did buy a pure Ameraucana last Saturday (solid black with a couple of gold feathers on the right side of his neck). To add genes for a bluer egg.

That is the same with me.Around here everybody wants the boring egg layers.There is also a demand for gamefowl and bantams. I like the unusual and what I raise is for me.

Hate that you have to let your naked necks go.Have a friend that is looking for some hens.But there is no market here for them either and therefore they are hard to find.At least you will have 2 hens.

Here's pic of the 2 young naked necks roo that I made new head roosters! So far they love the older girls but there not sure how to impress them yet.

Both are good looking roosters.The solid white naked neck rooster is my favorite.
