Naked Neck/Turken Thread

So far they are breeding true. Once in a while I get a few strange chicks, but so far they have been very good, lay very well and hens are excellent setters. They lay different color eggs whites/cream/brown. This year I introduced the araucana gene to get the blue color. In terms of size, I have ocationally produced tiny tiny nacked necks. They are wonderfully gracious.

They are the ones that look so awful now (they make the chemo pic look good).

Dark blue barred:

Had to chase him around the 'jungle' to catch him and clip a wing. He's been persistant about not wanting to be in a pen.
I've got some lighter-blue barred NNs that I think are prettier.

I'm very upset right now, I had my bator in the closet, full of NN eggs and lock dow is today, and guess what?
somehow the egg turner was unpluged, all this time. I don't think this is going to be a good hatch, I did put 11 eggs in there that look like something promising but, I'm just hoping

thanks but, i'm doing something with my own.

But I am looking for Wyandotte eggsif anyone has any, all kinds welcome

Some people don't turn their eggs often or not at all.. still get hatches. So there's hope...... let us know, would be interesting but unintentional experiment.. like some do with dry incubations.. many with great success..

BTW have a promising looking laced NN girl from wyandotte mix pen! lacing coming out complete so far.. am excited about that one.
