they are pretty I have 5 cockerels and I'm going to keep 2 one with a pea comb and one strait

I crossed a black NN roo with my BLRW and I got the pea comb then I put the BLRW Roo ( Lippy ) with my NN's girls. I did not even get one that looked like a BLRW so I'm going to cross a Pea comb Splash roo with my BLRW and hopefully this time I get what I been dreaming with BLRNN

Hi Nava! I'll be doodled if I know. Everything I've been taught says you should have gotten just blues and blacks and no splashes... but there they are!
Maybe if he was not black, but a very dark blue and and your blue laced reds were splash laced reds --- but he looks black as black to me.

Well, I really do like the splash look on my NN's I will keep on breeding them for splash.
they do look like my splash orps, and they were crossed with nn to get the blue on them so there might be some gene in there that gave them the splash look

Nava your black NN must be a dark, dark blue. I was doing the same cross only with Orps and BLRW. The boys had red leackage, but the girls were all solid color with good lacing. Wasn't able to recross to BLRW to work on getting the actual BLR since my birds were killed.
