Hi! I didn't realize it til Kelly reminded me, but the silkie feathered Naked Neck is from here --- from my black / blue / splash Naked Neck bantam pen. Just a genetic quirk, trying to breed *regular* feathered NN, not *silkie* feathered.
None of the NN's in the pen have silkie feathers, but all are mixes of Naked Neck x Silkie x Cochin and could carry the silkie feather gene (obviously the little blue NN roo and at least one of the hens DO).
