Try drinking a bit of warm water before you lie down - warmer than body temperature but not as hot as tea. A friend recommended it to me. I don't know if it has a calming effect or a placebo one, but so far, it's working for me. It's almost like the warmth tells my brain its time to relax.*Try to take a nap if my body would do some eye shutting, insomnia is getting out of hand.
