Went with Hubby to the VA Clinic. His doctor is changing his Diabetic medications around to try to keep his glucose levels under control.

We went to Lowes, spent almost 2 hours there getting "stuff".

Went to Ollie's to returned the radio/cd player I purchased. It only could find one station and it was all static.

Will crochet later.

The big thing today is the appointment to get our taxes done.
I'll cook some rice in whey from draining my yogurt.
I'll knit some more on my scarf.

Today I went to work, slid on ice in the parking lot and busted my ass, hard. My whole left side is sore

I bound it off and called it done at 14" long, so it's not a scarf, it's a useless piece of very pretty knitting that will live in my drawer until I die.

The yarn I was using was lovely, and a total PITA to knit with. I threw the rest of the yarn in the garbage. Good riddance.

I to RK to return a 2 month old truck battery that won't hold a charge. All I wanted to do was swap batteries, was told I had to pay an extra $40+. Apparently the battery had increased in price. No way I was going to pay more, had them refund the battery charge to my creditcard.

Went lumber-yard and got 8, 4x4x10' beams for the garage.

Will crochet later on.

I walked the dogs at the battlefield.

Slow start to the morning.
Breakfasted - but have my 2nd cup of tea beside me now.
Did a draft e-mail regarding the Croquet clubs relocation and sent it to the rest of the Committee for comment.
Really should stop ignoring the dirty dishes - they will not do themselves.
Later on will call my sis and see if she wants to join me and my mates playing board games on Sunday arvo.

I'd seen that before and looked it up. Slang for "afternoon." I wish we'd adopt that over here; I really like it!

Aussies use a lot of abbreviations/slang.
Like calling ourselves Aussies not Australians, and saying mates not friends.
I think it is to distance ourselves from our colonial past and "proper" English.
My poor pommie bro in law (more slang) for English brother in law.
