Sorry, Sally - the lovely knitted hats is what I was hoping to see, though the pie sounds fab as well!Of....?
So far, nothing photogenic with the snow. I'll be making lemon-lime meringue pie Sunday (his birthday).

Can you share a picture of the hats you make?I went to the store because they forecast 2-5" of snow. I still needed a few things before Sunday, which is hubby's birthday, and I need to make pie.
I took a nap.
I talked a friend into "needing" a hat so that I have another hat to knit.![]()
I asked the same. Come on, Sally Peanut Butter!! Pics or it didn't happenSorry, Sally - the lovely knitted hats is what I was hoping to see, though the pie sounds fab as well!![]()

It's reversible, but I like the dark side better.

The stitch is called Brioche. I like it because it's soft and fluffy, so the hat is plenty warm. The fold over keeps my ears nice and toasty on days when the temps are in the teens.
A bit too toasty, so I made it again, but shorter, no fold over. This one is better for 20° plus days. It's reversible too.

My chicken runs are now swimming pools. They all resorted to stand on top of & inside their coops. The run covers are weighted down by the rain. It has been lots of rain so far this morning already. Even inside my house feels dense with moisture in the air. I am cooking potatoes chips in the oven so that the heat removes some of the moisture. Too late to buy anything for the chicken runs now. We will weather through this with great discomfort. :-(straw, pine shavings and wood chips as you can get your hands on. 100mm of rain is headed your way![]()
