My son and I cleaned out the brooders. I washed laundry today and made another banana pudding for my guys.
It rained last night and this morning, so everything is still wet outside.

Planted the cucumbers, Early Pride, Marketmore 97 and Armenian. Also planted an unknown Bell pepper and a King Arthur Bell pepper.

Finished making the Chicken and dumplings.

Went to Home Depot looking for tomato plants - no luck.
Went to Wendy's for lunch.
Went to Lowe's and bought some tomato plants - more to be found.

I did four loads of laundry, mopped and vacuumed, washed dishes, washed my hair, scrubbed countertops, microwave, and oven range, took out garbage and recycle, and repacked my sister’s clothes.

I drove to Las Vegas and checked into the hotel.

I ate my dinner in a record ten minutes, had a milkshake and slice of blueberry pie, and drank three cups of iced tea.

I planted winter squash today, little late, but better now than never.
Kept the chickens cool in the insane temps.
Rescued a snake from my little cat. She was so proud of herself, and I was just glad it wasn't a rattlesnake. One of these days it will be...

Take a nap so that I can stay awake for the concert.
Maybe plant some of my garden starts.

Had doctor’s appointment this morning. Came back home and cleaned the ducklings’ brooder.
Put smoked pork in crock pot for nachos tonight.

I washed my hair, and I will bike out in the neighborhood and then go to my orientation meeting.

This is what happened yesterday while I was trying to make dinner. Our Oak tree near the road decided to fall, wipe the power lines and block the road. Our stand-by generator kicked in and saved dinner.

Our electric cooperative showed quickly to repair the broken lines and the county highway department cleared the tree off the road.
The tree had been hit by lightning and apparently the roots kept smoldering until there was nothing left to hold the tree.
