1. Clean the coffee maker.
2. Clean out the coop and pens.
3. Do two loads of laundry.

Adding: 4. Put some hens in the turn-out pen.

Our flock doesn't have any grass where they live (desert) so we built a moveable shaded "turn out" pen that can hold 4 hens and we move it around to where little patches of crab grass sprout up around the property. We hose it down so it's nice and damp and cool and they can nibble on the grass bits and dig around in the damp dirt. Add some treats and a cup of ice water and it's a happy chicken oasis in all this desert heat and sand.

I'm going to use this list to hold myself accountable:

1. Done! Boy did it need it. Lots of hard water build up. I need to do that more often.
2. Done.
3. Folded and put away!
4. Done. Two EEs and an Australorp are very happy.

Quiet day. Migraine broke late last night...
Waiting for our hay to dry. It's 78°F, 9mph breeze, great hay drying weather...
Worked on the coop's "winter" door. Bought a heavy pine exterior door at a thrift store for $5. Needs to be cut to size and fixed up...
Worn out, going in. Will crochet on my afghan...

Ended up with a lovely carrot cake. Two 8" layers... But much for the two of us to eat, so hopefully I can bring it to fellowship hour at church!
