Getting ready for the big shindig.
Made everything ahead of time so no cooking today.
Husband just pulled the pork. Wrapping it up now.
Rinsed and dried vegetables, cherries, and berries. Froze berries and cherries. Lots of canning to do next week.
Just going to have a fun day with family and friends!

Went for a run.
Will go to an event where I barely know anyone, just because it’s expected and I don’t have a good excuse not to go
Will pick fruits/veg in the garden, turn compost, clean irrigation filters, etc.

Going over to my parent's house soon, to help them make homemade pizza for a pizza party this evening. My dad makes the best pizza

Still can't start the Muel. Grandson and I walked down to fix fence. He carried the tools, I spliced the fence barb wire. He gripe the whole time. (it took 3 hrs)

Hubby is working on the downed tree. He's cutting his way through to the pickups to see how much damage they have.

Hubby and I gave up and went in and turned on the AC. (86°F feels like 93°, 72%humidity)

Filled bird feeders at the club and home.
Went to a movie.
Stopped for early dinner at the Peasant Grill.

Rain caused me to postpone lawn mowing.

I got lucky and saw a show with a fellow using a scratcher properly.

I've never seen someone do it, so I'd have no idea if I were doing it correctly.

We went to a steam/gas tractor show. We saw a steam powered sawmill go through oak logs like butter.

The tractor pull was interesting.

We watched a thresher and a straw baler.

Hubby got a 20 foot piece of chain with hooks on each end for $10 at the flea market. That'll pull logs up the hill when he fells some trees this fall.

There are some videos on YouTube but I didn't find any doing it by the method I use.

I did take apart the old rabbit house.
I successfully got to the pharmacy before closing.
