I took care of the animals, went to the post office to stop our mail for next week, and I am packing for vacation.
Today is our 25th anniversary.
Hubby surprised me with yellow roses.

This morning..
I cleaned out 1 coop, and put in new nestbox material.
Cleaned 2 hens' bum bum and worm treated 1 - she was going to call RSPCA for that...
Will attend to my tiny Pekin rooster....he crows his mighty crow...his royal highness.
Sometimes today must get Calcium citrate+D3 tablet for chickens, it is only 1/2 price now.

Got rid of Mnt Poopmore (my manure pile).

Played with the new baby chooks, I placed them under the co-broody mamas last night.

Now I need to throw down some hay from the loft.

Not enough honey to harvest just yet. Maybe in a few weeks. Set up/clean up is a lot of work, so we wanted enough to make it worth while.

So I went to the store instead. Or favorite brand of bacon was on sale, so I bought 6 packets to put into the freezer.

I know I did something else. Actually "somethings else." Or would that be "something elses?"

Running laundry.
Made both sprouts AND fermented feed for the little turds, so they'll act extra entitled for the next week or so.
Husband's taking a half day so we can spend some time together before the busy weekend.

I ate breakfast, put chicken and rice in the crockpot, made a trip to the co-op for feed, picked up some needed items at the dollar store, checked the mail, etc, etc, etc.
Just took a lovely evening walk.
Now about to watch Dalgliesh.
