It was all about the dog today. Ok, I took a nap too.

I am sorry that your little hen Melba passed away.
Melba is young. Was she sick?

She was among the 4 guinea keets that I purchased in May 2021 so was about 4.5 years old. I think she had struggled with salpingitis earlier this year, but because my workplace is so far from the farm housing my flock I am not able to care for them as I’d like to.

Went to a local community theater - play was surprisingly good
Stopped and had a strawberry ice cream cone on the way home.

Hubby's blood glucose went bonkers this morning, over 380.
Today I monitored his glucose, watch movies & crocheted...

Worked on a wrap around extension to connect a catio out front to a catio out back .Supervised the chicks playing in a Rose of Sharon while Momma hen chased off all but 2 hens who just wanted in to lay.
Fed all the chickens out of the run so momma wouldn't terrorize them

I went to Antietam Battlefield for the artillery demonstration in remembrance of the 163rd anniversary of the battle (17 Sept. 1862).
