We lost power this morning, evidently a semi hit a power pole. Our battery backup sump pump decided it didn't want to work when needed(we've been getting a lot of rain) so we had to get the brand new generator hooked up. We've had the thing for over a year but it was still in it's box. So today, I have helped hubby do that, hopefully can my tomato sauce when the power comes back on, and I don't know what else the day will bring

Made another batch of chokecherry jelly. Used the remaining juice to make a half batch of chokecherry syrup.

Will use the remaining chokecherries to start a batch of wine.

The online course from Red Cross is pretty in-depth….moreso than in-person courses I’ve taken. Cost is $37

Unfortunately I have to take an AHA certified class, and Red Cross is not. I'm planning to take one at my local community college, but the classes might be full already...
