I actually ended up dating my wife because of a speeding ticket. Some things are predestined.

Failed my first test due to 'poor speed control' - I drove too slowly. Shortly thereafter I received my first speeding ticket and lost my license. Yeah, it was excessive speed.

Fast forward six or seven years, and I meet the Princess at a party where I am bartending. I had just ended a relationship, and had no interest in starting another although I really liked her. On the way home I got a speeding ticket. Went to her office at Rutgers and said, "I'm probably going to lose my license tonight, but if I don't will you go out with me?" Judge did not take my license, and the rest is history.

Actually returned to college to be closer to her and finished my degree.

I got stopped for doing 70 in a 55. I told the officer "yes sir I was speeding and ended up with a ticket for no insurance but not speeding.
