Treat every job as a place to do your best. You never know who you might serve. It might be someone looking for an energetic, hard working employee. It’s only McDonald’s but a good starting place for my first job $12.50 an hour.
I have seen people working at checkout lanes who were on top of it, friendly, efficient. I told one young lady, if I were in charge of hiring where I worked, I would have asked her to come in for an interview.
One time when I was in my 30s, I was scrubbing a floor because work was slow and were all on cleaning detail. My boss had his boss come over. He said, "I wanted you to see this lady. She works circles around the rest of the crew."
Every job I've had has been experience. Good or bad, I learned something from all of them.
