Gave dogs their morning soup and filled bird feeders at home.
Filled bird feeders at the club and filled eleven rabbit feeders.
Made fried kielbasa sandwiches for lunch.

Life off-grid

1. Chopped wood, started a fire, roasted coffee beans on the wood stove.
2. Took a hatchet and a pitcher down to the frozen creek, broke through the ice and hauled a few pitchers of water for ourselves and all the animals.
3. Made breakfast for everyone, fed all the animals, made coffee . Day just getting started! Feels good man.

Sounds lovely, I am curious, do you boil the water or otherwise clean it before drinking? Thanks for sharing. I hope one day to have that sort of life too.

If the water is a bit turbid from a heavy rainfall I'll strain it through a coffee filter, but otherwise no, and not boiled. We're on a remote island in the Alexander Archipelago. It's just rain water flowing down the mountain filtered through the gravel of the creek bed. Been drinking it that way for 15 years.
