Name 3 Things You Did Or Will Do Today

1. Try to bring my Amazon packages inside before the thieves steal them.
2. Make coffee with chicory.
3. Clean up the back porch.

Edit: 5/5, got all of our packages!

The first one was delivered just before sunrise. Usually they put them right outside our kitchen (side) door and I just open the door and bring the box inside.

I opened the door but there was no package. That often means the driver has left it in front of the house (contrary to our instructions). Thieves follow the delivery trucks around the neighborhood and steal packages immediately after they're left so you have to act fast and bring them inside before that happens.

I figured I'd just duck around the corner to the front of the house and get the box. It's there, and it's HUGE, so I bend over rather ungracefully and struggle to pick this huge thing up and get it around the corner to the side door (front door is locked).

I set it down before opening the door and suddenly realize the delivery driver is still in our driveway. It's 6AM and I'm in my nightgown. 😳 We almost never use robes here (too hot). It's a full coverage regular ol' cotton nightgown so there wasn't anything indecent about it but I don't generally traipse around outside like that!

I gave an awkward wave to the delivery driver, who waved back and promptly left. 😆

Helped Hubby hook up the J-Bar Rotary Mower to my old MF135 tractor. Hubby caged the tractor so I don't get knocked off the tractor by low tree limbs. The J-Bar is a 6' finish type bush-hog Mower. I use it to bush-hog small fields.

Bush-hogging in field #7, behind the barn, field finished in approximately 4 hours.

Will crochet after dinner while watching TV with Hubby.

I went to open lab this morning.
Went for a run in the park afterwards–lots of people out on the trail at first, but they thinned out as I went further, which I was happy about. The fewer people who see me running, the better 😂
Roasted tomatoes for salsa.
Watered the baby strawberry plants and the flowers. Had to use well water as they've already shut the irrigation off 😒
Will continue to study.

NOW THAT'S A CAGE!!:thumbsup

Brought some new goats home...
Had to practically wrestle them 'cause they were so wild and stubborn 🫠 But of course that's understandable given that they're in a new environment, they're just scared.
Washed out some extra water buckets and feeders, and set up a new temporary pen.
I will work on some drawings.
I will put the new hay and feed away.
I will probably water the flowers.
