Helped Hubby hook up the big BushWhacker to the 100hp tractor so I can clean up the last 3 big fields.

Starting to bush-hog the remaining fields with the BushWhacker. It is 20' wide bat-wing style mower, it can really chop up brush in a hurry. What takes me 2 days with the J-Bar will take 2 1/2 hours with the BushWhacker.

Will watch TV & crochet after dinner.

I sat out in the sun and watched a WWII movie.
I helped my sister with her homework all night.
I heard what I think was human footsteps in our front woods...it was very heavy footed and didn't run away when I clapped. Just stopped a minute, kept on walking till they reached the fence and turned back to the road.

Replaced 2 lower roosting bars that were side by side with one long roosting bar running down the middle. Twice as many chickens can roost on it now. I also had to replace the wooden steps and plywood skirting under the coop door. Used (1) 2 x 4 to frame it up and a piece of galvanized steel siding I had laying around .Made steps out of 8 cinder blocks

Going to work on installing more greenhouse plastic on our chicken run in preparation for winter here.

1. After taking care of birds and pup will be the chooch lugging cases of honey so DW can finish labeling.
2. Start milling up 2 more hives for spring.
3. Take many breaks to have coffee and enjoy this nice 70+ day.

I may have posted this before. Back in the 60s Somebody had started a petition to address a property of a man who was a metal scrapper who lived a 1/4 mile up the road, we were closest neighbor. They approached my dad, wrong. Dad sent 'em packin' with "get the hell otta here, that old man isn't bothering anyone". Valuable lesson learned at 10-11 years old.
