my mother left my quail cage open -_- ... i have 3 quail left. 3 .. and no male.. i have 8 before they flew off.. im furious.

well the only good thing is is i have about 25 developed quail eggs that are due to hatch in about 4 days.. but then its another 5 weeks till eggs... UUUGGGHH its a good ting i got all my eggs out before this happened

yes like shelley said hopefully atleast some will come back. I had my roo fly off in the winter and he came back the next day....practically walked right up to me! LOL! maybe the last three girls iwll call them back.

Oh how I wish I had enough birds laying but I only have one female button and two female coturnix so I wouldn't be fair for me to take the pheasant eggs as it would take me too long to collect enough eggs for it to be a fair trade and then the eggs would be too old to trade.

But the good news is I have 4 2 day old buttons and 3 day old coturnix so if the swap keeps going over the summer I can participate later. I might buy some pheasants later this spring too. I'm watching this thread and hoping to participate sometime later. Happy trading to all!

Oh, and hopefully your quail come back. My mom accidentally let one of mine out and I thought it was a goner for sure but I found it 8 hours later scared and hiding in a dark corner of the barn. She saw it run out of the barn so I figured the stray cat would get it or a hawk or something before I could find it in the tall grass of the hay meadow but it found it's way back.
