My kids have a Rouen duckling that presently lives with our chicks. They (the kids) are trying to decide what to name our new pet duck. We are soliciting suggestions for the name of our most recent addition to the family. So...

GIVE US YOUR BEST DUCK (Drake) NAME!

(History: This duck is a replacement for a Peking drake we had for almost 5 years that also lived with our hens and was a faithful and fun pet. My wife and I have four boys so that duck had lots of "fun"

and we have shots -- ur, I mean pics -- of him chasing the boys around the back yard.

Tragically,

Ferdinand, as he was so affectionately named after a famous waterfoul movie star from Babe, was abducted one night and was never found except for trial of bloody feathers leading away into the woods. Though never proved, racoons were the prime suspects.)

My Rouen drake is named Bungie since he kept trying to jump out of the brooder.

I have a duck named Uno since she was the only one out of 4 eggs to make it. That would work for your drake too since he would be the only duck

You could name him Verde since his head will be green once he gets his big boy feathers.

Name it Phoenix !!! Since your pekin duck is gone, you now have a rouen in its place....the phoenix is a bird that ignites itself and out of its ashes comes a new baby....it would be a cool mythological name...

OHHH or I LOVE the name Jasper. Thats what we were going to name our buckling, who then turned out to be a doeling and had to have a name change.
