What do you think the geese are?
The all white one is a female, her name is Becky. The Brown one is also female, her name is Pretty.
Pretty sure the other 3 are ganders, they are Napolean, Tyrone and Pecky. All are 1 year old except Napoleon, he is a 2 year old.

We got them from a farmer who wanted to get rid of all his geese (couldn't imagine that!)

P.S. Also, I'm not sure if I am doing the pic thing right. If not, here are the links to view the picture:

One of the pics also shows "Buddy". He got in a fight with the others and flew away

If someone can also tell me how to insert images, that would be GREAT!

I have one just like napolean I want to know what he is so I will know what I have . I bought three at a feed store two are emden one is like three times the size of the others and he's only 8 wks he loooks like your napolean. he's huge lol

To post pics from facebook you want to copy and paste the <IMG> code, I think it's the last one on the drop down menu in your album below the pic.

As for the geese, Becky is either an embden or a male pilgrim, what color are the eyes?
Your goose Tyrone looks like a female pilgrim, are you sure he is a he?
I would agree with SundownWaterfowl on Pretty being a mix, especially if her beak is naturally darker like that and not just dirty.
As for Napoleon, Pecky, and Buddy, considering that they all look similar, I would find it hard to believe that they are any kind of mixed breed. It is possible, but I would venture to say they are a breed that I'm not familiar with, and leave it at that

Thanks!

Ok, I am absolutely sure that Becky and Pretty are female (because I actually SAW them laying eggs). But Becky has the prettiest Pale Blue Eyes. She is also very friendly. Pretty is aggressive though... can't get too close or she will clobber me.

As for the other three. I am completely unsure on Pecky. The previous owner told me that Tyrone and Napoleon were both Ganders so I'm going on what someone else told me. Has he ever had them sexed? Not likely... Or if so, who knows if the person doing it knew what they were doing. So, I'm not 100% sure on them. I do see very male type agressive behaviour from Tyrone, Napoleon and Pecky so I am assuming that they are male. I remember the old man (previous owner) telling me that a certain one was a Pilgrim mix but (of course) I can't remember now and at the time I had NO CLUE about any type of goose breed. I was just delighted to have them, regardless of what they were.

Buddy was colored very much like Pecky. We live on about 500ft elevaton and he just flew right on down the hill. I was shocked that he/she could pick up that big goose bum and fly. It was in Dec and the wild geese were at a pond down the hill... Not sure if Buddy took off with them or ended up on someone's table? I like to think the former.

As for the others, here are their eye colors:
Napoleon - Brown (also he is the only one with that "goose bump" on his beak... like the chinese have, ya know? Its the main difference between him and the other assumed ganders. Also he is bigger but also older)
Tyrone - dark blue
Pretty - Brown
Pecky - blue
Becky - Very light pale blue

they look like my variety of geese. Mine look alot like that without the black spots up the neck. Just a bit of gray on the back feathers and then the two gray ones.. they are beautiful. I love my geese.
