Good night eggies, now off to bed! No Lucky, there are no monsters under the incubator. 👾

Nah. Just in the same room. (My 2 eldest kids)

We did it with three weeks difference so it might work, but you need an area where these nuggets get their 90F the first week and your others have a way to get away from it. These four lived together for a couple of months until I sold the Speckled Sussex chicks as my heart was with staying with just silkies. The orphan got tripped over a few times but she learned to look out for the bigger ones. ☺️

Just saw the pic and the bedding looks so much better than the pine flakes I buy from TSC. Those get messy so fast.

So candle just to stare at them? Bc I try not to candle more than once a day lol. So hard to not wanna stare at them in there. I also try not to keep my incubator open for more than 5 minutes? Idk if there is a set time and all. I am so happy to have one with humidity showing now. Before it was a wild guess. I did slightly panic when the humidity dropped from 53 to 45 this morning. Granted it was 10 hours. My son "checked" it. Not trusting him much anymore lol. I did get it back up to 54% within the hour though.

What humidity is too high or low? I read somewhere 50-55% is good until lockdown and then increase it to 65%?
Your humidity is fine. I run it a tad lower, but for lockdown, same as you said. You don't need to candle daily unless you're just doing it for us. Otherwise, I dunno, like every 4-5 days or so is sufficient. Some do more or less.

For the coop, I never do anything, but for the brooder, I use a stick and stir it every few days as their little feet don't move it around much.

Same thing here! Today it rained almost all day. Coop and garage are open, plus there's the deck they can take cover, but nope. They just stay out there as bug hunting is such a priority I guess!
The two open range roosters we have are the same. Sit right in the rain. My neighbor has a Derbyshire Redcap and we have a Black Australorp. Named my rooster Professor Snape. Nicknamed their rooster, bc they didn't tell me his name, Captain Hook. He has a hooked beak. I will try to capture a pic tomorrow to show you what I mean. The top over laps the bottom in like a sideways overbite.

I'm just nosey and love peeking in there. Well, in the eggs I can see into -_-

I'll take 21 also if that's OK, then I'll have 1 per hatch. I'll name it Pinstripe.
Sounds fine to me. I was gonna candle them ALL (gulp) on Wednesday probably. Idk how long they can be out though, but if I candle them quickly, I can do it all at once? Or maybe I should do one in the afternoon and the second batch in the evening?
