Sorry my phone is glitching out, hence multiple posts. She insists that he is a Mottled Spangled Orpington (not a Jubilee). He does look an awful lot like a sussex though!

Their Spangled/Mottled Orpingtons are Mottled. They don't know the first thing about how to properly describe breed colorations. Your bird is lacking the proper shape of an Orpington. He is a Speckled Sussex.
This place has also sold mixed breeds as Marans before...

Maybe it's a money/scam thing? So you have heard of this place?

I know of at least one other person on this site that posted, asking questions about the exact breed of their chicks. This person had ordered hatching eggs from this 'farm'. The chicks were, without a doubt, mixed breeds.
They seem to be trying to cash in on some rare breeds. They have a bunch of rare birds, but they are very new to breeding. They don't have enough experience or know how when it comes to genetics. They basically just got a bunch of birds from different places and started to sell whatever they hatched. They haven't taken the time to develop their lines, and they don't seem to know what birds to breed and which to cull. In short, you're not going to get 'quality' birds from that place.
