I have one Buff Orpington. She has a good personality toward people. The only thing I would like to mention is she does like to peck my other chickens...

My OEGB are LOUD!!! My RIR (Breeders) LOUD...brahman loud...ameraucana loud...Shamo moderate...my Japs are quiet...I vote Japs mainly cuz I want to add another breed and I just got them!

I vote Silkies. I heard one of my roosters crow today and it wasn't nearly as loud as my sebrights. It was more like a quiet errrrrrrrr.

My Buff Orps are basically mutes. I have one roo that crows up a storm, but he's got competition from one of my EE roos. Other than that, I hear wayyyyyy more commotion out of my EEs and Guineas... heck, even Jakers the turkey makes more racket than the Orps.

My red star hens (RIRXLeghorn) are very quiet, in fact so quiet, one is named Shadow.

Talkative: Black Giants and Ameraucanas, moderate talkers Araucana hens/pullets. Roosters are all noisy except my Polish.
