I don't know what to name my chickens!!
400
besides my rio his name is Jeff

I've always thought it fun to stick with a theme. All my birds are female singers that I either like myself, or have made a notable contribution to music through their strong voices / personalities.

PJ (Harvey)
Tori (Amos)
Patty (Benetar)
Nina (Simone)
Etta (James)
Tina (Turner) OOPS! It's a rooster. Now it's Ike.

It also makes it easier to find names in the future!

All my computers at work are named after the moons in our solar system... You get the idea.. :)

They’re beautiful!!
My chickens are named Pebbles, Lemon, Poppy, Bree, Rosemary, Olive, Sunny, Nightfire, Chickadee, Squiggles, Boots, Milo, Pinecone, Cookie and Thunder :D

Ooh, I had a good idea for a big flock!! All hens have nice names like Basil, Rosemary, Lavendar, Mint, etc. and one rooster named Herb. I think it’s funny!

Someone else named theirs for food. I still think Jerk or Jerky is great.
Fried
Roaster
Saucy
Stir fry
Chiclets
Colonel Sanders

We have 60 birds between chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys and guinea fowl. Only a handful are named, and it is because of something. Our original female Turkey, is simply Turkey mama. We have a Guinea, that had a walking issue and use to fall over a lot until we got that taken care of so her name is Ilean. Our first rooster was Frank, our second was Fred. Frank's blood line is gone now, so all roosters have been named as follows, Fred, Fred JR, Red Fred (because of his color) Fred the 3rd, Red Fred JR ect. We had a duck with bumble foot, so her name is limpy. We had a goose that we bought as an adult whose name was pig. Another male goose was spot, because he had spots ect. You get the drift I'm sure.
