Naming the chickens....

Well the batch that's outside right now finally have names.....after 10weeks!
Buff Orpingtons- Barbara and Mary
Colombian Wyandottes- Kathleen and Patsy
Easter Eggers- Blanche, Sophia, Rose, Dorothy, and Chanty
Gold Star- Goldie
Rhode Island Red- Ol' Red



Now we need to name the 9 babies that are inside.....

We spent all this time picking name and while we did, we've also come up with about a dozen nick names for each hen based on their true personality. And some of those have stuck.

Sometimes you have to let a little time go by to see their true personality to come up w/ the perfect name.

Cute names

I have 21 a mix of Rhode Island Reds and Barred Plymouth Rocks... we only named the ones that had a personality that really stuck out from the rest... otherwise we wouldn't know who's who

Some of the names are: Little Red, Lindy, Curious, Woody, V, Speckles and our rooster's name is Cogburn.
