Our coop is almost finished so I've been trying to come up with a good name for it. The coop is of great sentimental importance to me, so I want to choose something that would recognize that without being too mushy-gushy. I talked to my sister and she suggested I name it the "C. Everett Coop" which I thought was hilarious but just doesn't fit.

So, if you've named your coop, what is the name you chose and why did you choose it? What influenced your coop name choice?

Nice post in the link

I was thinking Coop DeVille since I'm only a few miles away from the heart of downtown. Or perhaps Coop De Grace...

I am in the process of painting a sign for my coop-- It will be the "The Bed and Breakfast" I wante to add a picture of the girls w/ curlers on their head and a fancy eye masks, sitting on the roost..and two sunnyside up eggs on a plate!

Until I put netting over thee old run area all I saw fly over were bald eagles and various hawks plus raccoons that lived on the ridge out back...so the name is morose but I've only lost 2 birds in 8 years here.....mine is "THE PREDATOR BUFFET" I suppose living 2 miles from the St Croix river and my backyard being a 32,000 + acre state forest doesn't help much either.

I made a suggestion to my wife that I would like to paint in white with a rough brush, the words chiiken cooop spelled wrong on purpose and with the C and K backwards and crooked. she laughed at that but has not agreed yet, we live in the country I thought it would be fitting as most of my nieghbors can't spell thier own names.
