i have 4 chicks i want to put my nicees hen in the flock would that be safe

We need more information. How old are the chicks? How old is the hen? I am not quite sure what you are asking. Are you asking if you can put an adult hen in with 4 chicks?

the hen is i belive 11 or 12 months old and i want to put her in with the chicks

You'll need to introduce them to each other slowly. I've before been able to successfully mix chickens about two years apart in age, but you probably need to wait until your chicks are at least a couple months old and can stand up for themselves.
When they're ready, many people recommend partitioning off a section of the coop in which you can put the chicks or the hen, letting them see each other and get used to having each other around. I'm assuming you're not talking about having the hen take care of the chicks, correct me if I'm wrong...? (On that topic, I know pratically nothing. ) Good luck!
