Does anyone have pics of the color difference to the “sex link”? I’m trying this now and just had my first hatch but I’m not sure which it is I’m attaching pics of my poult
If the tom is the Narragansett and the hen is the Sweetgrass, they will be sex linked and the female poults will be Narragansett Semi-Color Semi Gray. The male poults will be Bronze Semi-Color Semi Gray.
If the tom is the Sweetgrass and the hen is the Narragansett, all the poults will be Bronze Semi-Color Semi-Gray.
There are no reference photos available.
I suspect that with that mix there is not likely to be enough difference in poult colors to tell the difference.Does anyone have pics of the color difference to the “sex link”? I’m trying this now and just had my first hatch but I’m not sure which it is I’m attaching pics of my poult

If anyone might know, it is @austria89 .
Thank you!@Debkampf
In general, the Narragansett gene reduces the amount of pheomelanin, therefore, the poults appear less reddish.
There was recently a thread where you can see these differences and also Kevin's has some pictures on his website:
