Narrowing it down...

Stop turning anytime during Day 18. And keep the vent plugs in. Yours has a fan, right? Well, at least on my Hovabator, there are small holes around the bottom of the bator that allow air to come in, but I am not familiar with the one you got from Jaynie. When the hatch begins, one plug will need to come out then at some point, probably the other as well, because the humidity will shoot up with the opening eggs. Maybe someone with that model can verify what I've told you as well.

Thanks, Cyn

Yep, Jaynie answered my questions in another post, boy we are getting close now.

Anyhow, I propped the eggs just slightly with the air cell pointed up, thats right isnt it? Didnt prop them much, just a bit. Then I added water to all the little places, and also a sponge thing in a lid, and right now humidity is 77%. Thats about right, isnt it?

Now, if I can keep from opening it til they hatch!

Sounds good. You could let the humidity go slightly lower because it will shoot up when the first few eggs pip. I usually keep mine between 65 and 70%, but yours is okay right now. I'm excited for you! Caroline laid her first egg today and it was fertile. And Velvet's last one appeared to be fertile as well, so things are looking good around here.

Alright, congrats. Yep, Caroline was just holding out til cooler weather, just like my Fussy. She laid that first one, and not any since, altho she has raised cain this afternoon so I thought another was on its way. I DONT think she likes it! She is such a character.
Good thing on the humidity, cuz mine is fluctuating, just now looked and its about 69% so I am gonna have to sit here and watch the darned thing! lol
