Chlorine dioxide! That stuff is incredible!I agree with rimshoes. I wouldn't try any kind of nasal flush on a chicken. There are other things you do rather than that.
If you have a nebulizer (for someone who has asthma) you can use that and just use boiled salt water (sterile), or water and blow the mist into their face. Or, a humidifier in a confined space would have the same effect without risking killing your baby.
I had a batch of chickens that had the infectious coryza, and I thought they were all going to die, but I gave them all tylan injections, and fixed a cardboard box with holes in the side (handles) and placed the nebulizer in there with them and it helped. If you had something like an indoor wire dog kennel, you could put the bird in it with a humidifier and wrap a sheet around it to keep most of the moisture in there, and it should work great as well.
In the water, used Oxine AH. You can read about it on the web. It it great stuff. I use it all the time. It is great for an inhalation therapy for birds. It kills are sorts of organisms, and it can be used in the chickens water to make it more palatable. Don't freak out, but it is similar to clorox or chlorine used in pools, BUT IT IS DIFFERENT! Please don't substitute clorox for this. When it dries, Oxine AH is no more than table salt. Clorox and pool chlorine are not.
Hope your birds feel better soon!
