Wow... what a race... We had to record it and watched it this evening. My hubby is a Carl Edwards fan (me, Mark Martin) and I was flabbergasted watching him jog across the finish line... what a trooper!! It is amazing to me that they can survive crashes like that, and walk away. Why can't we do that with our regular cars?!?

I was listening to the news this morning, turns out several people went to the hospital that were in the crowd where Mr Edwards car hit the fence. Its incredible how safe those fences are, that could have been alot worse, huh?

They said they were non-life-threatening injuries... we watched the tape in slow-mo, and only a few smaller pieces of debris made it through... pretty amazing for such a spectacular crash. What stories they will have to tell their grandkids, eh?
