nasty chicken! Carmen caught a toad

I heard such a commotion going on outside, and looked out the window- I saw all the chickens running around the yard in train formation. The lead chicken, Carmen, had a toad in her beak. Poor little toad, all four legs sticking out of her beak- and every chicken wanted it.

Grossed me out.

Chickens are omnivors. They eat meat. They will eat frogs, worms, lizards, small snakes, mice, etc.

My husband gets a cheap thrill out of catching barn mice and throwing it to the hens. A chickens running around with a mouse tail that is all that is hanging out makes me gag. LOL

Hey mine had a blast with a big huge grasshopper and couple weeks back. And every other chicken was trying to ssteal it from her mouth.
