Nasty growth on Beak

Just spotted this today.

The chick seems OK if not quite so feisty about being handled.

Is this potentially terminal, or might there be a remedy out there.

Well Theres Three Possibilities that i see. It could be an Infection, that started out as a cut.
It could be an Extreme case of fowl pox (Doubt it)
Or if you have turkeys it could be blackhead. (Maybe)

But i think its an infection. Maybe some antibiotics to treat it or, im not sure. This is a tough situation.

No Turkeys, and only this one affected (so far).

I haven't touched the lump yet, so I can't tell if it is sensitive. I will check that out.

Possible infection from getting something up her nose. Can you see the nostril on that side at all? Is it blocked? Possible impacted sinus as well.

It feels pretty firm not hard, but only a very little give to it, and pressing it caused no reaction, so I guess no pain..

If this was my chick, /i'd give antibiotics incase its an abscess
