We have some eggs that are ready to hatch and some that are still developing in the same incubator. One egg has some nasty brown stuff on the outside, wondering if I should throw it out? Just a couple of minutes ago, a egg just busted and a fully developed chick was in there, dead.

Get rid of the one that's leaking, like, immediately, sounds like it's getting ready to explode, and it will contaminate your other eggs. Do you candle at all? Don't candle that one, just get rid of it. Do NOT test your eggs with the water method.

Just got rid of them. I do candle, but it's been almost a week now I would say. I got rid of the dead one last night after it exploded.

This is a scattered hatch. Are you sure?
I can see gunk from leaking and exploding egg inside your incubator in picture. That is full of bacteria hopefully you can get all your eggs hatched without a problem. But seems your already having problems with bacteria with eggs exploding.

That cleaning is what I'm dreading :hmm. Thanks, I love the color too!
Cleaning after hatching is always a PITA, but it's all part of it unfortunately, lol. Just be sure to give it a good cleaning with bleach, every nook and cranny needs to be addressed to be sure no bacteria is left from this hatch.
