I bought more chicks today to replace a few that had (unfortunately) passed away. I noticed a few were very badly pecked at,one is missing his tail and his vent is very mangled (he is still able to poop!) and the others are missing all of their wing feathers, and one has a very mangled wing tip. I couldn' let them die there so I brought them home. I cleaned the wounds with peroxide, and I am getting some blue cote for their injuries. I have a red light for my heat lamp. I am worried the vet wound will get badly infected due to the feces being released from it. What can I do to help these chicks?
