When I was a kid I was cleaning out the coop nestbox, and pulled a bantam egg out. Me being a dumb dumb I took it over to a rock to see if anything had developed...I tapped it lightly...once on the rock...And KABOOOM!! right in my face and hair....the explosion actually sent my hair flinging backwards lol


To t op it all off there was a rotten fully formed chick inside

I DREAM of a moment like that happening to my younger brother and we are 35 and 33.. hehehehe.

When I had ducks we lost the only male we had and 1 of the young hens started laying. After about 16 days under her I noticed one of the eggs was cracked. I put it up to my ear and shook it. Thanks God it didn't explode!It was rotten to. I will never do that again LOL It was before I found this site.

I was laughing so hard, my husband had to come find out what was going on! Poor thing I'm sorry.

When I lived in Mexico I had one of my husbands girl cousins check my eggs that did not hatch, she always yelled at me, but kept on checking them! ( I stood far away)
