I'm treating my laying pullet naturally for worms with ACV in her water and chili powder and DE in her food. What else can I do naturally and how long before the worm is gone? I don't want to use medicine. Thanks.

Chili powder? or do you mean cayenne? the cayenne was 3 T per gallon of feed for either 7 or 10 days. Someone also said for prevention and maintenance to always put some in there but doesn't have to be that high of a dose.

Well, I don't have cayenne on hand right now so I figure chili powder would work since it's also spicy. Does it only work for cayenne or anything spicy?

I do not understand where this business about cayenne being of any use helping worms has come from (if anyone has a link to research material please post) > cayenne has bee shown to be useful in stimulating the immune system somewhat (as a general supportive/management measure to aid in disease ).
None of the above "natural"measures will have any curative/treatment value in an active case of worms. Get the proper med (one of the less toxic and broad spectrum meds which gets most all types is ivomec Eprinex > use the topical spot-on method of application)

We bought a natural wormer from Murray McMurray. We don't have any problems, but we did it as a preventative measure. None of our chickens acted like they had worms, so I'm not sure if it would work in your situation, where you know there is a worm problem. Something to look into, and you can eat the eggs when they're on it.
