Natural or bullying

We just got 2 laying hens unknown breed unknown age but when we got them one was bare backed with feathers missing on the neck and both of them have feathers that look weird and I wonder if it’s from being pecked? Any other reasons it would be like that?

Could be from picking, could be from a rooster - if you don't know their history - your guess is as good as ours :)

You may want to keep them separate from your existing flock(s) for a period of observation - look them over for lice/mites and monitor for any symptoms of other illnesses.
