Just wanted to see what you all use.I use coconut oil, garlic and things duh as that as preventative.Wanted more ideas.Am using cayenne pepper as preventive for worms,or maybe even a dewormer.Garlic seems to do wonders as well.I recently had a hen who was getting super skinny and lost tons of weights, what else could it be.She also begun acting lethargic.Put about twenty garlic cloves in their water and within a weeks time the hen started back acting normal and gained all her weight back.Their all a healthy size now.

I just clean out still water everyday-replace it. Add a vitamin supplement once a week. And above all keep clean housing.

No sickness here.
My natural preventative is good old fashion elbow grease.

All those 'natural' preventatives/cures and the anecdotal 'evidence' that go with them are more for the keepers than the chickens.
Some can actually cause harm.....garlic can cause anemia.

Assuming too much garlic can cause harm, have heard it can do that in humans as well.

Really consider if a chicken would naturally eat some of that stuff. If your birds are healthy and in an adequate set up, with good bedding it is unnecessary. Some people like to play with these additives.

Had no idea a simple cleaning could do all he work.I clean my cooo every weekend and change water anytime it is of course too dirty, because I have ducks.I free range and have turkeys and didn’t want black head,so I just begun giving three hinges to prevent any disease and worms.
