natural supplements for quail

does anybody know if dandelions and other greens are okay for quail? One of my quail had crookneck and now I am super cautious of vitamin deficiencies, and I heard that dandelions have really high vitamin e which I heard is helpful to avoid crookneck. Is it poisonous to them, if so which part?

A balanced complete diet is best to avoid issues of many kinds.
Do you not feed Your birds a commercially made age-appropriate feed?
Are you feeding treats?

As of now, I feed them Purina turkey starter. I am going to start feeding them non-gmo all-natural feed. I am not sure if it is balanced. I am new to all of this.

we do have an alfalfa field above us that gets a layer of manure and fertilizer each year. will the runoff we get from It be toxic

Dandelions and greens are fine for your quail. They qualify as treats, though. Treats shouldn't be more than 10% of their diet.

I give mine dandelions, long grasses, dry leaves etc. they like to eat grass, they eat the dandelion leaves, but often not the yellow flowers, but they like them once they turn white.
