I mean, could have been some more local RFI too. I wouldn't think a theramin was sensitive enough to be impacted by a low level proton flux. Having said that, I have NO IDEA. :)

There’s a solar wind storm going on right now, according to spaceweather.com. My theremin is still acting up. In fact, it’s changing registers while I’m playing, and I’m not doing anything to do that.

It must be the storm. There’s no other explanation.

If you’re serious, you can order them from the website that I will put in this post. I’m gonna forewarn you, they can be pretty difficult to play sometimes. It takes a good musical ear and a steady hand. I’m still learning myself, and I personally find it easier and better if I play along with a song I’m familiar with, in my case, a church hymn.

Still, the hymns I play sound like a spaceship is descending. It’s weird but cool.

If you do end up getting one, let me know. Perhaps I can help you out.

Upgraded!

And the proton flux is way over threshold. Keep your eyes peeled!

(we're forecast for thunderstorms Sunday, so I'll trade auroras for lightning conditions in a severe geomagnetic storm )

Yep, showing G4 both days.

Looks like wildfire smoke is going to get me again (learned my lesson last time). I'm still going to try by my house. If I was off work tomorrow, I would definitely consider flying to Washington. The NW and some Midwest look good.

This is the wildfire smoke for Sun at 10pm. Purple is not good, lol, but probably not quite as bad as thick cloud cover.

This is cloud cover....

This is transparency which takes both into effect. The bluer the better....
