Howdy, I’m new to this group. I started up my first chicken flock in April with 15 chickens. I’ve been trying to learn everything from scratch and it turns out a lot of my answers I’ve found on BYC, and now I’m trying to figure out whether or not one of my hens is having a problem so I’ve joined BYC to ask away in the forums.
I have a flock of 15 raised from shortly after hatching. Apparently two are roosters, but the flock consists of 3 buff Orpingtons, 3 Polish, 3 Americanas, 2 Brahmas, 2 speckled Sussex, a barred rock and an australorp. Still waiting on my first egg, most of them are around 19 weeks old, with exception of the buff orps, which are 21 weeks old.
