NC - My 1st Chickens

Thank you for the greeting!
It is definitely addicting. Julie really likes the chicks, but I think she will enjoy them more when I get the pen closed in!
Hopefully this will be less than a week away.
I'll definitely try to post pictures any time I have the most minute reason to...

Yes, that is 10 chickens on (1) 3' pole. We may have more room than we thought if they keep that up.
All 14 take up about 4.5' of the almost 18' of roost poles we have up!

Thanks guys!

One of the silkies now has quite noticeable wattles whereas the other two do not at all, whatsoever.
I'm going to celebrate if they do in fact end up being 2 hens to 1 rooster!

Man, we really need to update this page!

Some chickens gone, most chickens grown...new chickens already getting up there, too!
I'll see what I can do sometime soon.

Love the updates!

I read you are outside of Asheboro? I am also from Asheboro, but we moved to the mountains last year to escape the heat, but I grew up in and around Asheboro and some of my family still live there. Welcome, and again I love the time spent updating the photo's for us, really gives you an idea of what genders look like from babies to grown birds now.

Yep, we are outside of Asheboro.
Spent 4 years in school in Boone (plus I have tons of family in Linville-Newland area). So we leave the nice cool weather for the heat...where I sit here and sweat. :p

I appreciate the compliments!
If you are ever close by you all are welcome to drop by and see the chickens.
