I live in Henderson, NC - right next to Kerr Lake on the VA/NC border.

How about a meet-Up in late aug/early sept?

There are lots of picnic areas and of course I can bring my boat out. We won't be able to have a swap for live birds, but we can have an egg swap?

Ok, I talked to people at the lake and I have one of the areas on hold right now. It's capable of handle up to 50 people, if we need a bigger one I can upgrade.

So, Sat., Aug. 28th how does that sound?

I'll plan on bringing my pontoon boat out and the pig cooker. I can also borrow some table from my church. For people that are travelling longer distances, they have camping at Kerr Lake, both tent and RV

Price, I would be very interested in coming! I think August 28th would be a good weekend to do it! I've been to Kerr Lake a few times before as well.

I'd be willing to pitch in some burgers and hotdogs and slaw for a cook out

sounds like a plan to me hun!

Eggscelent!!! I think we'll probably have a great turnout with all the NC people here on BYC!

BTW, I'm working on what I want to get from Welp. I'll let you know in a couple days.

I'm still working out the details as I have time. We have a picnic spot reserved at the lake near one of the swimming areas.

I'll start a food list in the next couple of days for the cookout and hopefully have the times for the meet-up set.

As I stated before, we can't bring any live birds to the lake, but we can do an egg swap!

I'll have my boat out there and hopefully some others will bring theirs as well.

Also, I forgot to mention that they do not allow alcohol at Kerr Lake! They are very strict about this so please, leave it at home.

Thanks everyone and I hope to lots of BYCers there!!

Tony

Good Day to all, and may you all be blessed with great chickens!! LOL I am looking for show quality stock in NC of the Bantam Wyandotte breed. If anyone know of someone with this lovely breed, please have them contact me directly through e-mail at [email protected] and put Wyandottes in the subject line. Thanks so much for the help. This forum is the best!!! Blessings to all, Connie in Harmony, NC
