Hi all,

New to backyard chickens. Have done a lot of research and finally decided to pull the trigger.
I eat A LOT of eggs. About 6-8 per day most days lol. I would also love to be able to feed my little one fresh eggs rather than store bought.

I work from home so maintenance should be simple for me. Recently planted some fruit trees and built four large raised planters to grow some of my own fruit and vegetables.

Decided to build an open concept coop which I hope to start soon and have finished shortly after. Currently looking for hens around me (up to about an hour drive or so). Hoping to get ones that are 16+ weeks but less than 6-8 months. Based on my research and what I am looking for (Egg quality and quantity) I am looking for the following breeds. Please feel free to chime in with any advice!

ISA Brown
Red Star
White Leghorn
Easter Egger
Rhode Island Red

Hope to learn a lot from this place!
