NE Ohio zoning laws - Suggestions??

We live in the limits of Poland Village, a small town in NE Ohio. We have a part time zoning officer and a pretty loosely written zoning ordinance. The Village, though, is a bit picky with historic districts, trees, etc. I called the zoning officer and haven't heard back from him regarding whether I'm allowed to keep chickens. I want to get the coop built and order 3 layers but I'm hesitant. Anyone else have a similar experience and what was the outcome? Thanks!!!

Hi! I'm thinking about moving to Poland and already have a small flock at my current house in Lordstown. I can't seem to find anything specific regarding the keeping of chickens in Poland, were you able to find anything out?

I'm moving to Poland Village from my farm up in Trumbull County. I'd love to move 3 or 4 of my chickens with me. The yard is completely open to those around it, so this is not something I could sneak by the neighbors. I'll be renting and the landlady is fine with it. Did anyone figure out the laws on chickens in Poland Village?
